Connie Zhou, Pianist
Winner American Chamber Orchestra Concerto Competition (2010)
Connie performed the third movement of Schumann’s Concerto in A Minor. She was accompanied by her teacher, Edith Sullivan.

- -Winner Piano Division of The Musical Club of Hartford Youth Competition (2010)
- Performed in a master class with internationally renowned pianist Yuja Wang (2007)
- Winner - MTNA Baldwin Junior Competition (2007 and 2008)
- Winner - Winter Competition sponsored by the Fairfield Chapter of the Connecticut State Music Teachers’ Association and performed in the Winners’ Circle Recitals for this event.
- Winner – 2008 Concerto Competition sponsored by CSMTA and consequently performed the first movement of the Schumann Concerto with the Farmington Valley Symphony Orchestra
- 2007 – Second Prize on the second level of The Audrey Thayer Piano Competition
- 2008 – Second Prize in the same competition on the eighth grade level
- 2009 – Schubert Club of Fairfield County Awards Competition first and second prizes in the French Division, first prize in the Bach and first prize in the Chopin Division
- Performed in the Gifted Young People’s Concert and Annual Youth Concert sponsored by the Leschetizsky Association in New York City in 2010.
- Participated in a master class with Millette Alexander at the CSMTA Annual Conference at Western Connecticut State University, performing the first movement of Beethoven’s Spring Sonata with her sister Katie, a violinist.
