Jefferson Zhang, cellist

-Winner - American Chamber Orchestra Concerto Competition (2010)

Jefferson performed the first movement of Concerto in B-flat Major by Luigi Boccherini. He was accompanied by Elina Christova. He will perform with ACO on June 12, 2010 at The First Presbyterian Church of Fairfield. Jefferson studies cello with Ole Akahoshi of Yale University.

-Youngest featured soloist at the 31st Annual Fairfield County String Festival (April, 2005)

-Soloist for Music for Youth Benefit Concert (November, 2005)

-Second prize in Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra Competition (October, 2006)

-Soloist for Greater Bridgeport Youth Orchestra spring concert (May, 2008)

-Principal cellist in Greater Bridgeport Youth Orchestra
